Ingredients:

  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Milk powder - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Instant Yeast - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Yellow Food Colour - 1 pinch
  • Oil - 1/4 cup

Method:

  1. Strain flour well.
  2. Now add milk powder, sugar, salt and instant yeast in the flour.
  3. Mix it with butter and knead the dough with warm water till soft.
  4. Leave it to rise till it turns double.
  5. Now shape them into 2-3 rotis.
  6. With a sharp knife, make cuts to design.
  7. Now mix brown sugar, oil and yellow colour to make a mixture.
  8. Brush the taftans with this mixture.
  9. In a pre-heated oven bake it for 15 minutes on 200c.
