Nargisi Koftay by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

For Koftay:

  • Mince 1/2 kg
  • Gram lentil 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Boiled eggs 5
  • Egg 1

For Gravy:

  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1-1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Onion brown 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Put mince with 1-1/2 cup water, gram lentil, salt, chili powder, ginger garlic paste and onion in pan and cook until water dries and mince tender.
  2. Then cool mince, add all spice and make nice paste.
  3. Now mix egg and 1 tbsp nicely.
  4. Now cut boiled eggs into half.
  5. Now take some milk in hand, give boiled half eggs in shape of mince and deep fry until light golden.
  6. For gravy: Heat oil, put water with ginger garlic paste, salt, coriander, red chili and turmeric and fry it nicely.
  7. Now add yogurt and fry for 5 minutes.
  8. Then put fried onion, fry for 5 minutes, put 2 cup water for gravy and fry for 15 minutes till gravy is thick.
  9. Before serving, take out gravy in serving dish and put fried koftay on top.
  10. Then garnish with green coriander and serve.
