Keri Ki Chutney by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Raw mangoes - 1/2 kg
  • Crushed Red Peppers - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Yellow Food Colour - 1 pinch
  • Melon seeds - 1 tsp
  • Water - 1 1/2 cup
  • Vinegar- 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Peel off raw mangoes and cut them into small slices.
  2. Now keep them soaked in water for 2 hours.
  3. Now Strain the water, take a pan and put the raw mangoes into it.
  4. Add 1/2 cup water, crushed red pepper, salt, sugar, yellow colour, melon seeds and cook for 20 to 25 minutes till the chutney gets thick.
  5. Before pouring it into a jar, add vinegar into it.

Keri Ki Chutney is prepared with Raw Mangoes and Melon Seeds.
