Ingredients:

  • Mutton leg - 1 1/2 kg
  • Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 3 tbsp
  • Chili powder - 3 tsp
  • Raw Papaya - 1 tsp
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Mix spices - 1 tsp
  • Grounded Almonds - 2 tbsp
  • Saffron - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk(hot) - 2 tbsp
  • Grounded Brown Onions - 3 tbsp
  • Oil - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled Eggs ( to serve)
  • Fried baby potatoes - 10 to 12

Method:

  1. Dip saffron in hot milk and mix.
  2. Take the mutton leg, put cuts on it and Marinate with ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, raw papaya paste, yogurt, grounded brown onions, mix spices, grounded almonds, dipped saffron and leave it for 2 hours.
  3. Now add 2 - 3  cups of water in it and cover the lid till the leg is fully cooked.
  4. At last, fry the mutton leg and serve it with boiled eggs and baby potatoes.

Zafrani Raan is a Main Course, prepared with Mutton Leg, Raw Papaya, Yogurt and Saffron and served with Fried Potatoes and Boiled Eggs.
