Ingredients:

  • Yogurt 1 kg
  • Fresh milk 1 cup
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Dahi Baray:

  • Boiled potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Egg whites 2
  • Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
  • Red chili flakes 1 tsp
  • Cumin roasted & crushed 1 tbsp
  • Rice flour 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Tamarind Chutney:

  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup
  • Black salt 1 pinch
  • Dried ginger 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder roasted 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil potatoes, peel it and make bharta with fork.
  2. Now mix rice flour, cumin, black pepper, red chili flakes and salt and mix it nicely.
  3. Then grease hand, make round kabab like shami kabab, dip in egg whites and shallow fry in hot oil.
  4. For dahi baray: Mix milk, corn flour, sugar and salt in milk and beat it nicely.
  5. For tamarind chutney: Mix tamarind pulp, dry ginger, cumin and red chili and cook it lightly.
  6. When it is cool, add black salt and salt.
  7. Now put some yogurt in wide and deep dish.
  8. Then put some tamarind sauce and keep aloo ky baray.
  9. Then put yogurt and tamarind chutney on top.
  10. Put finely chopped almonds if necessary.
  11. Aloo ky dahi bharay is ready.
