Sirkey Wala Achar by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Carrots 2-3
  • Lemons 4-5
  • Keri 1-2
  • Onion 1
  • Vinegar 2 cup
  • Crushed red chilies 2 tbsp
  • Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Citric acid 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut carrots, lemons, keri and onion.
  2. Now mix turmeric, acid and salt in it.
  3. Then add vinegar and water as required in pan and put vegetables.
  4. Then heat 1 tbsp oil in second pan, put red chilies, carom seeds, cumin seeds, onion seeds, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and crackle it.
  5. Now add in vegetables, mix it, put vegetable achar in jar and keep it.
