Chicken Chaat by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breasts 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Red chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt 2 tsp
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Flour 4 tbsp
  • Spring onion 1
  • Green chili 1
  • Lemon 1/2

Method:

  1. To chicken strips, add ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, red chili sauce, salt, yogurt and mix.
  2. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes in refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in wok.
  4. Put flour, salt and 1/2 tsp red chili powder in plate and mix.
  5. Put chopped spring onion and green chili and put into another bowl.
  6. Take chicken out of refrigerator.
  7. Roll each strip in seasoned flour.
  8. Add little water to marinade in bowl and mix well.
  9. Dip chicken strips in this mixture and roll again in seasoned flour.
  10. Deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden.
  11. Drain on absorbent paper, cut into small pieces and put into bowl with spring onion and green chili.
  12. Squeeze juice of lemon juice over them and mix.
  13. Put them in soup spoons, arrange spoons in serving plate and serve.
