Shahi Tukray by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:
- Bread slices 6
- Milk 1 liter
- Sugar 1 cup
- Green cardamom 6
- Almonds 20
- Yellow food color 1 pinch
- Khoya (Unsweetened) 250 gm
- Pistachios 10-15
- Oil as required
- Silver paper for garnish
Method:
- Soak almonds and pistachio in water.
- Then peel it and cut into finely.
- Now heat oil and fry bread slices until golden brown.
- When pan is cool, take out oil, put milk and cardamom and cook it.
- When thick, put bread slices, 1/2 cup sugar and yellow color.
- When milk is absorbed in bread, take it out and keep in open dish.
- Fry all bread slices like this and take it out.
- Then put remaining milk, almonds and pistachios.
- Then crush khoya and add it.
- In end, garnish with silver paper and serve shahi tukray.
