Ingredients:

  • Bread slices 6
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Green cardamom 6
  • Almonds 20
  • Yellow food color 1 pinch
  • Khoya (Unsweetened) 250 gm
  • Pistachios 10-15
  • Oil as required
  • Silver paper for garnish

Method:

  1. Soak almonds and pistachio in water.
  2. Then peel it and cut into finely.
  3. Now heat oil and fry bread slices until golden brown.
  4. When pan is cool, take out oil, put milk and cardamom and cook it.
  5. When thick, put bread slices, 1/2 cup sugar and yellow color.
  6. When milk is absorbed in bread, take it out and keep in open dish.
  7. Fry all bread slices like this and take it out.
  8. Then put remaining milk, almonds and pistachios.
  9. Then crush khoya and add it.
  10. In end, garnish with silver paper and serve shahi tukray.
