Sweet Tea by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Black tea 12 bags
  • Sugar 1-3/4 cups
  • Lemon thinly slices 1
  • Mint springs as required
  • Ice cubes as required

Method:

  1. In large pot, bring 2 quarts water to boil.
  2. Add tea bags, cover and steep for 15 minutes, discard tea bags.
  3. Add sugar and lemon slices and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Transfer tea to pitcher.
  5. Stir in 7 cups old water and sprigs of mint, is using.
  6. Refrigerate until chilled, serve over ice.
