Bhuna Mutton With Coconut Masala by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Coconut powder 2 tbsp
  • Coconut flakes 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Crushed coriander seeds 2 tbsp
  • Cloves 4
  • Black peppercorns 6
  • Cinnamon 1
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies 4
  • Chopped onion 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup or as required
  • Green coriander 1 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1 bunch
  • Curry leaves few

Method:

  1. Wash mutton botiyan, marinate with salt, turmeric, coriander seeds, red chili powder and ginger garlic paste for 30 minutes.
  2. Now put coconut powder, coconut flakes, green coriander, mint leaves, cloves, black peppercorns, poppy seeds, cumin and cinnamon in blender and blend with 1 cup water.
  3. Then heat oil in pot and fry onion until golden brown, take it out and spread on tissue paper.
  4. Now put curry leaves and meat and roast it nicely.
  5. Put 1/2 cup oil if required, roast masala nicely and put meat again in masalay.
  6. Then mix both, roast it and add 2 cup hot water.
  7. When water dries, simmer it.
  8. Then put mint leaves and fried onion and serve hot.
