Ingredients:
- Red beans 1 cup
- Kabuli chickpeas 1 cup
- Red lentil 1/2 cup
- Tamarind pulp 1 cup
- Tomato sauce 1 cup
- Tomato puree 1/2 can
- Green chilies julienne 8-10
- Soda bi carbonate 1 tsp
- Dried ginger 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds roasted 1 tbsp
- Onion chopped 2
- Salt to taste
- Lemons 2
- Mint leaves chopped 1 bunch
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Crushed red chili 1 tbsp
Method:
- Wash red beans with lukewarm water and soak it.
- Wash chickpeas with lukewarm water and soak it.
- Then drain water of red beans, put again lukewarm water and cook it,
- When it tender nicely, remove it.
- Boil chickpeas like this.
- Also cook red lentil.
- When chickpea tender, put soda.
- Now heat oil in pot, put red beans, fry it lightly and put tomato sauce, red chili and salt.
- After 5 minutes, put chickpeas, tomato puree, dried ginger, cumin and tamarind pulp and cook on low flame.
- After 5 minutes, add green chilies and simmer it.
- Then put onion, mint leaves, lemon juice and few green chilies and serve.
