Ingredients:

  • Oil 1/3 cup
  • Slice onion 1-1/2 cup
  • Garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Chicken 500 gm
  • Salt 1 tbsp
  • Orange zest 1/2 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Dry lemon 1
  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Cloves powder 1/4 tsp
  • Tomato paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped tomatoes 1-1/2 cup
  • Rice 250 gm
  • Shredded carrots 2 cup

For Topping:

  • Carrot 2 cup
  • Raisins 1/3 cup
  • Cashew nuts as required

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion and garlic until brown.
  2. Now put chicken and cook until brown.
  3. Then put salt, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, dry lemon and tomatoes and cook until oil comes up.
  4. Now put 1 glass water and cook until chicken tender.
  5. Then take out chicken, put on second pan and fry until brown.
  6. Now put tomato paste and orange zest in mixture and cook until it boils.
  7. Now make layer of rice over chicken, put tomato mixture and cook until water dries and rice cook.
  8. Put oil in second pan and cook carrot until soft.
  9. Then put raisins and mix it nicely.
  10. Now take out rice in dish and put chicken pieces on top.
  11. Then put carrot, raisins and cashew nuts and serve.
