Malaysian Coconut Chicken by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken with bone 1 kg
  • Garlic cloves 5-6
  • Onion slices 2
  • Crushed red chili 2 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 8
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan and fry onion.
  2. When light pink, put red chili, garlic, coconut and turmeric and fry for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Then add coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and curry leaves and mix it nicely.
  4. Then put milk and cook until chicken tender.
  5. When sauce is thick, remove it.
  6. Malaysian coconut chicken is ready.
