Ingredients:

  • Spinach chopped 2 cups
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Onion chopped 1 cup
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Mixed whole spice 1 tbsp
  • Grated fresh coconut 2-4 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Boiled chickpeas 1/2 cup
  • Rice soaked 1/2 kg
  • Salt to taste
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Water 2-1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Grind spinach and green chilies in chopper.
  2. Heat oil in pan and fry onion until brown.
  3. Now add whole mixed spice with ginger garlic paste.'
  4. Then put spinach paste and cook it nicely.
  5. Now put coconut, salt, all spice, chickpeas and rice, add water as required and cook until rice tender.
