Death By Chocolate Mousse by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate cookies crushed 2 cup
  • Butter 1/4 cup
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Caster sugar 1/4 cup
  • Cream 2 cup
  • Chilled caster sugar 1/4 cup

Method:

  1. Mix crushed cookies and softened butter.
  2. Press mixture evenly into greased 9 inch spring form pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 5 minutes, then allow to cool.
  4. Combine 1 cup cream, chocolate, vanilla essence and salt, in top of double boiler.
  5. Heat until chocolate in fully melted and mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour chocolate mixture into bowl and cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
  7. In large bowl, beat 2 cups chilled cream with 1/4 cup sugar.
  8. Beat until stiff peaks form.
  9. Fold whipped cream.
