Khatti Meethi Daal by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:
- Red split lentils 1/2 kg
- Tamarind pulp 50 gm
- Jaggery 1 tbsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Garlic cloves 4
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Whole green chilies 4
- Green coriander 1/2 bunch
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Method:
- Put turmeric, salt, red chili powder and ginger garlic paste and red lentils and cook on low flame.
- When lentil tender, put green chilies, green coriander, tamarind pulp and jaggery and close stove.
- Then heat oil in frying pan, put cumin and garlic, heat it and give tarka to lentil.
- Then put garam masala powder and green coriander.
- Khatti meethi daal is ready.
