12 Masala Beef by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Beef with bone 1/2 kg
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 3-4
  • Tamarind pulp 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For 12 Masala:

  • Coconut 3-4 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Whole red chilies 5-6
  • Whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1/3 tsp
  • Curry leaves 3-4

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients of 12 masala in pan and roast it.
  2. Then put in blender, grind it and keep it aside.
  3. Then heat oil in second pan and fry mustard seeds and garlic paste.
  4. Now add beef and fry it.
  5. When color changes, add tomatoes, mix it and cook it.
  6. When tomato tender, add 12 masala and salt and mix it.
  7. Now add water as required.
  8. When meat tender, add green chilies and tamarind paste and mix it.
  9. When meat is ready, dish out it, garnish with coriander and serve.
