Tawa Kaleji by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Button red chilies 10
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Liver (small pieces) 1/2 kg
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee 3 tbsp
  • Onion chopped 1/2 cup
  • Tomato chopped 1
  • Kasoori methi 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies chopped 3-4

Method:

  1. Roast coriander seeds, cumin and red chilies and grind it.
  2. Now marinate liver with garlic paste, turmeric, yogurt, lemon juice and salt.
  3. Then heat ghee on tawa, put onion, tomato and onion and fry for 10 minutes till liver tender and oil comes up.
  4. Then add kasoori methi, coriander leaves and green chilies.
  5. Then garnish liver with onion rings and lemon pieces and serve.
