Oven Roasted Chicken Shawarma by Fareesa Batool

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast 1/2 kg
  • Paprika powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Red pepper flakes 1 tsp
  • Onion sliced 1 large
  • Garlic cloves 4

For Serving:

  • Hummus as required
  • Garlic sauce as required
  • Pita bread as required

Method:

  1. Put lemon juice, oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, red pepper and garlic in big bowl and beat it nicely.
  2. Then add chicken breast, toast it and marinate with mixture nicely.
  3. Now cover with plastic and keep in fridge for 1 hour.
  4. Then heat oven on 200 degrees C, add onion in bowl and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Then take out from oven and serve with pitta bread, hummus and garlic sauce.
