Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Corn flour 1/2 cup
  • Egg whites 2
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Chicken cube flour 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • White vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

For Sauce:

  • Pineapple cubes 1 tin
  • Chicken stock 1 cup
  • Tomato ketchup 1 cup
  • Capsicum cubes 2
  • Garlic finely chopped 4
  • Sesame oil 1 tsp
  • Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • White vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with corn flour, baking powder, salt, egg whites, chicken cube flour, soya sauce, white vinegar and oil for 30 minutes.
  2. Now heat 2 tbsp oil in wok, fry garlic until golden brown and add stock.
  3. Also put tomato ketchup, jaggery, salt, soya sauce, white vinegar, chili sauce and 1 tin pineapple juice.
  4. Then fry capsicum cubes lightly in separate pan.
  5. Then heat oil in wok, deep fry masala chicken, put sauce and put sesame seed oil.
  6. Sweet & sour chicken is ready.
