Chicken Shashlik by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast (2 inch cubed) 1/2 kg

For Chicken Marinate:

  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Mustard powder 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp

Other Ingredients:

  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Ketchup 3 tbsp
  • Boiled spaghetti to serve

For Chicken Sauce:

  • Chicken breast (finely chopped) 3
  • Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Chinese salt 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion (white) 8
  • Capsicum (square cubes) 2
  • Tomato (square cubes) 2
  • BBQ sauce 4 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • Mustard powder 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato paste 1 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Sweet sauce 4 tbsp
  • Capsicum (small cubes) 1
  • All spice 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with salt, red chili powder, garlic paste, mustard powder, worcestershire sauce and soya sauce for 1 hour.
  2. Now heat 2tbsp oil, put garlic paste and marinated chicken cubes and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Then add chili sauce and ketchup, stir it, cook it and remove from stove.
  4. Now skew chicken cubes with spring onion (white) in wooden skewers.
  5. Now pan fry shashlik sticks for 5 minutes.
  6. When it is grill, put bbq sauce.
  7. Then take it out and keep it aide.
  8. For chicken sauce: Heat 2 tbsp oil and stir fry 1/2 tsp garlic paste.
  9. Then put chicken and stir for 2 minutes.
  10. Now put salt, Chinese salt, tomato cubes, bbq sauce, worcestershire sauce, soya sauce, mustard powder, tomato paste, chili sauce, sweet sauce, 1 capsicum and all spice with 1/4 cup water and cook until chicken tender and gravy is thick.
  11. Now fold 2 capsicum cubes in it.
  12. For serving: Spread spaghetti on platter.
  13. Put chicken sauce and keep shashlik sticks with fries.
