Hyderabadi Chicken Methi Biryani by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (16 pieces) 1 kg
  • Rice boiled 1/2 kg
  • Black cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Brown onions 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Methi leaves 3 bunches
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes chopped 3
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Cream 2 tbsp
  • Eggs hard boiled 2
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil rice with salt, black cumin and bay leaf until it is 3/4 ready.
  2. Now heat oil, put ginger garlic paste with methi.
  3. Then put salt, with turmeric, red chili powder, all spice and tomatoes, fry t nicely and put brown onion.
  4. Then add chicken, cover it and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Then put 1 cup water and cook until chicken tender.
  6. Now add green chilies and coriander leaves.
  7. Then spread rice mixture with cream and butter on chicken mixture.
  8. Then simmer it for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Then garnish with boiled eggs and serve.
