Matar Pulao by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Boiled peas 1 cup
  • Sela rice 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon sticks 1-2
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Onion 1
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Chicken cube 2
  • Mint leaves 1 bunch
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Ghee 4-5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Clean rice and soak for 2 hours.
  2. Now heat ghee in pan and crackle cinnamon and cloves.
  3. Then fry onion, add ginger garlic paste and roast it.
  4. Now add peas, black pepper and salt and mix it.
  5. Then add soaked rice, chicken cube and water as required and cook until rice is ready.
  6. Then simmer rice.
  7. When simmered, garnish with mint leaves and green chilies and serve.
