Ghota Saag by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Spinach 250 gm
  • Saag 250 gm
  • Fresh fenugreek as required
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Red pepper crushed 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ground 1 tsp
  • Black pepper crushed 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin ground 1/2 tsp
  • All spice ground 1/2 tsp
  • Butter 4-5 tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Put spinach, saag, fenugreek, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, green chilies, onion and water as required in pot and cook until water dries and saag tender.
  2. Then swot it and keep it aside.
  3. Now heat oil and butter in pan and fry 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  4. Then add red pepper, turmeric, black pepper, cumin, all spice and salt and roast it.
  5. Then add in saag, mix it and cook it.
  6. Then take out in dish and serve.
