Ingredients:

  • Chicken (without bones) 1 kg
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Rice 50 gm
  • Moong lentil 50 gm
  • Split orange gram 50 gm
  • Split white lentil 50 gm
  • Chana lentil 50 gm
  • Wheat 50 gm
  • Oat 25 gm
  • Onions 2
  • Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili 2 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Crushed white cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg & mace powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Lemon as required
  • Finely chopped ginger as required
  • Green chilies 8-10
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Fried onion for garnish

Method:

  1. Soak all 4 lentils overnight.
  2. Then boil wheat, oats and chana lentil.
  3. Cut chicken into small pieces.
  4. For korma: Heat oil and fry until light brown.
  5. Then add ginger paste and garlic paste and mix it nicely.
  6. Then add all spice powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, nutmeg & mace powder, red chili, turmeric, salt and green chilies and put whipped yogurt.
  7. Mix all ingredients and roast it.
  8. Korma is ready.
  9. For lentil: Put water in pot, put all 4 lentils and rice, mic it nicely, cover and cook until tender.
  10. For mixing: Put lentil mixture and korma in chopper and chop it.
  11. Then put in pot, add water and stir it.
  12. Now take put haleem in serving bowl.
  13. Then garnish with fried onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, chaat masala and lemon juice and serve.

Chicken Haleem is Pakistani cuisine, prepared with Chicken, Rice, Lentils & Grains, garnished with Fried Onions, Coriander Leaves, Green Chilies, Ginger, Lemon Juice & Chaat Masala and is served with hot Naan or Roti. It is also be eaten with spoon.
