Ingredients:

  • Almonds 25 gm
  • Melon seeds 25 gm
  • Whole black peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Cardamom 4-5
  • Cumin seeds 1 pinch
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 4 tbsp
  • Sugar as required
  • Ice cubes as required

Method:

  1. Grind almonds, melon seeds, black peppercorns, cardamom, cumin seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds and sugar in grinder, put in muslin cloth and make potli.
  2. Then put in 1 jug water and take out its arq.
  3. When ready, take out in glass, put ice and serve with mint leaves.

Thandai is a Cold Drink, prepared with Almonds & Spices and served with Mint Leaves. It is common drink in in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
