Malay Vegetable Salad by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

For Salad:

  • Boiled green beans 100 gm
  • Cucumber slices1
  • Boiled eggs 2
  • Tomato slices 2
  • Onion slices 1
  • Lettuce leaves 2-3
  • Finely chopped green chilies 3-4
  • Oil 2 tbsp

For Sauce:

  • Roasted & crushed peanuts 1/2 cup
  • Whole red chilies 3-4
  • Brown sugar 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For sauce: Put tamarind paste, red chilies, brown sugar and salt in blender, blend it and cook in pan for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Then remove it, cool it and keep it aside.
  3. For salad: Boil green beans.
  4. Now heat oil in pan and fry beans and eggs slightly.
  5. Then add cucumber, tomato, onion, lettuce leaves, green chilies, beans and eggs in mixing bowl.
  6. Put sauce, mix it and serve.

Malay Vegetable Salad is a Spicy Malaysian Salad prepared with Vegetables & Beans, topped with Red Chilies Sauce and garnished with Peanuts.
