Ingredients:

  • Mutton (small pieces) 1/2 kg
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • White pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Whole mix spices 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Water 3 cups
  • Potatoes chopped 2
  • Carrots chopped 2
  • Peas 1/2 cup
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Onion (small) 10
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Butter 2 oz

Method:

  1. Boil mutton with salt, white pepper, whole mix spices, vinegar, soya sauce and water until meat tender and 2 cup stock remains.
  2. Now put potatoes and carrots and cook it.
  3. Then add flour, milk and butter.
  4. Now put peas and onion.
  5. Simmer stew for 15 minutes on low flame and serve it.

English Stew is a Main Course and served in Gravy. It is prepared with Mutton & Vegetables and simmered.
