Ingredients:

  • Black lentil 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Onion (finely chopped) 1
  • Dried mango powder 4-5
  • Garlic (peeled & chopped) 5 cloves
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Butter 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Wash lentil with lukewarm water and soak it.
  2. Now put lentil in pot with 3-4 cups lukewarm water and cook it.
  3. Also put ginger garlic paste, onion, turmeric and red chili powder.
  4. When lentil nicely tender, mash it and add dried mango powder and salt.
  5. Then put 2 cups lukewarm water again and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  6. When serve, heat butter and oil, fry garlic cloves until golden brown, add in lentil and serve with plain rice.
