Ingredients:

  • Surmai fish 1 kg
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cottage cheese 1 packet
  • Finely chopped green chilies 6
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Boiled potato 3
  • Lemon 3
  • White pepper 1 tbsp
  • Roasted & crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Rice flour 2 tbsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs as required
  • Eggs 2
  • Oil (for frying) as required

Method:

  1. Put vinegar in fish without washing it for 10 minutes and then wash it.
  2. Now marinate fish with salt, turmeric and 1 lemon juice.
  3. Then put some oil in frying pan, spread fish pieces and dry its water.
  4. Now crush it with fork nicely and put in bowl.
  5. Then mix boiled potatoes, rice flour, black pepper and red pepper.
  6. Now mix cottage cheese, green chilies, coriander leaves and 2 lemon juice separate and keep it aside.
  7. Then grease hands, spread fish mixture on hands, put cheese mixture in center and make cutlets.
  8. Now dip cutlets in beaten eggs and coat with bread crumbs.
  9. Then heat oil in frying pan, fry fish cutlets until golden brown, take it out and serve with tomato ketchup.
