Ingredients:
- Rice 2 cups
- Moong daal (soaked) 1 cup
- Masoor daal (soaked) 1 cup
- Onion 1
- Tomatoes 250 gm
- Cumin 2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
- Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
- Green chilies 4
- Garlic cloves 4
- Red chili powder 2 tsp
Method:
- Heat oil and fry onion until brown.
- Now put tomatoes, cumin, salt, green chilies, garlic and red chili powder and roast it little.
- Then add moong daal, masoor daal and rice.
- Now put 2 cups water.
- When it boils, put coriander leaves and mint leaves and close stove.
- Traditional daal chawal is ready.
