Mixed Sabziyon Ki Tahiri by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Rice 2-1/2 cups
  • Lemons 2
  • Carrots (finely chopped) 2
  • Potatoes 3
  • Onions (finely chopped) 3
  • Green chilies 6
  • Horse beans 10
  • Soya (finely chopped) 2 bunch
  • Whole all spice 1 pinch
  • Peas 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pot, fry onion until golden brown, take out half and spread on tissue.
  2. Now fry potatoes, peas, carrots and beans in half onion and take it out.
  3. Then put ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, green chilies and some whole all spice in oil and roast it slightly.
  4. Now add fried vegetables and soya, roast it little and add water.
  5. When water boils, drain water of soaked rice and put rice.
  6. Also add salt and lemon juice, stir it slightly and cover it.
  7. When water dries, simmer it,  when steam comes up, serve tahiri with yogurt raita.

Mixed Sabziyon Ki Tahiri is Healthy Rice Dish. Zubaida Tariq has made this dish easy and simple. It is served with Raita & Salad.
