Alsi Naan by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Maida 2 cups
  • Yeast 1 tbsp
  • Flax seeds (alsi) 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Butter 1 cup (16 tbsp)
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Add yeast and sugar in lukewarm water, mix it and leave it.
  2. When yeast rises, put in mixing bowl.
  3. Now add maida, salt and 13 tbsp butter and knead with milk or water.
  4. Then cover it and leave for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now take it out, knead it and make balls.
  6. Then roll thick, mark cut with fork and sprinkle flax seeds.
  7. Now bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C for 8-10 minutes.
  8. When color comes, brush with butter and bake more for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Then take it out and serve hot.

Alsi Naan is new variety of naan. It is prepared with flax seeds. Chef Gulzar has made it with his own technique.
