Lemon Cake by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Butter 4 oz
  • Caster sugar 6 oz
  • Eggs 2
  • Lemon rind grated 1
  • Flour 6 oz
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Milk 2 fl oz

For Topping:

  • Lemon juice 1 lemon
  • Sugar 4 oz

Method:

  1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Then add eggs and beat it.
  3. Now add lemon rind, milk and flour.
  4. Now put mixture in greased pan and bake on 190 degrees for 50 minutes or until golden.
  5. For topping: Mix lemon juice and sugar.
  6. Then spoon topping on hot cake.
  7. Then cool completely.
  8. Cut into squares or diamond and serve.

Lemon Cake is yummy & mouth-washing dish.
