Brown Fried Rice With Prawns by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Brown rice boiled 1-1/2 cups
  • Boneless boiled chicken 150 gm
  • Prawns 150 gm
  • Egg whites 1-2
  • Chopped garlic 3-4
  • Chopped spring onion 4 strands
  • Peas 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cabbage 1 cup
  • Green chilies 5-6
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tsp
  • Crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 2-3 tbsp
  • Brown sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Roasted cashew nuts 1/2 cup
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil brown rice.
  2. Now put oil in frying pan, add garlic, spring onion, black pepper, mustard seeds, cumin and green chilies and fry it nicely on high flame for 1 minute.
  3. Now put chicken and peas and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Then add boiled rice and fry it nicely on high flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Now put egg whites, cook for 1-2 minutes, add cabbage, soya sauce and brown sugar, mix all ingredients nicely on high flame and take out in serving bowl.
  6. Then garnish brown fried rice with cashew nuts and serve.
