Bombay Prawn Curry by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Prawns cleaned 1/2 kg
  • Desiccated coconut 2 tbsp
  • Peanuts 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1-1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Tomato paste 3 tbsp
  • Brown onions 3 tbsp
  • White cumin 1-1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Raw rice ground 1 tsp

For Bhagar:

  • Curry leaves 15
  • Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil, add curry leaves, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds with coconut, peanuts, sesame seeds, cumin, red chili powder, turmeric and salt with little water.
  2. Now add tomato paste, garlic paste and prawns with 1/2 cup water.
  3. Then cover it and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Then put raw rice paste, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with boiled rice.
