Ingredients:
- Surmai fish 1 kg
- Onion paste 1 cup
- Yogurt 250 gm
- Red chili powder 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Desiccated coconut 2 tsp
- Ground poppy seeds 2 tsp
- Dried fenugreek leaves 1 tsp
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice 4 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- All spice powder 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Marinate fish with lemon juice and ginger garlic paste for 2 hours.
- Now heat oil, put fish, fry it slightly and take it out.
- Then put onion paste, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, coconut, poppy seeds, fenugreek seeds, all spice powder and beaten yogurt in remaining oil.
- Now roast it nicely.
- Then add 2 glass water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Then put fish, cook more for 10 minutes, close stove and sprinkle green chilies and coriander leaves.
Machli Ka Salan is healthy & spicy dish. It is also common dish in Pakistan. It is usually served with rice.
