Ingredients:

  • Flour 1 cup
  • Semolina 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Eggs 2-3
  • Mil for batter
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1 tsp

For Syrup:

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 3/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  • Saffron 1 pinch

Method:

  1. For puri: Mix flour, semolina, yogurt, eggs, milk and cardamom powder nicely and leave dough for 1 hour.
  2. Before frying, mix baking powder nicely.
  3. Then shallow fry it until light golden.
  4. Then take out pooriyan, dip in syrup and serve it.
  5. For syrup: Cook sugar and water, until it is dissolved nicely.
  6. When mixture is slightly thick, add cardamom powder and saffron and cool it.

Lahori Puri is Pakistani dish. It is prepared with flour & semolina, dipped in sugar syrup and served as breakfast or snack. It is served with halwa & bhaji.
