Ingredients:
- Flour 1 cup
- Semolina 1/2 cup
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Eggs 2-3
- Mil for batter
- Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder 1 tsp
For Syrup:
- Sugar 1 cup
- Water 3/4 cup
- Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
- Saffron 1 pinch
Method:
- For puri: Mix flour, semolina, yogurt, eggs, milk and cardamom powder nicely and leave dough for 1 hour.
- Before frying, mix baking powder nicely.
- Then shallow fry it until light golden.
- Then take out pooriyan, dip in syrup and serve it.
- For syrup: Cook sugar and water, until it is dissolved nicely.
- When mixture is slightly thick, add cardamom powder and saffron and cool it.
Lahori Puri is Pakistani dish. It is prepared with flour & semolina, dipped in sugar syrup and served as breakfast or snack. It is served with halwa & bhaji.
