Ingredients:
- Semolina 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Raisins 2 tbsp
- Chopped pistachio 1/2 cup
- Chopped almonds 1/2 cup
- Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup
- Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
- Ghee 3/4 cup
Method:
- Mix milk and semolina and keep it aside for 1 hour.
- Now melt ghee, put sugar, water and cardamom powder and cook on medium flame until sugar dissolves.
- Then close stove, add milk & semolina mixture, mix it and keep on stove.
- Also stir it, so that it does not get lumps and cook on medium flame until water dries and leave edges of pan.
- Now mix coconut, almonds and pistachios nicely.
- Serve hot or cold.
Makhandi Halwa is delicious sweet dish. It is prepared with semolina. It is served hot or cold.
