Ingredients:

  • Semolina 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Chopped pistachio 1/2 cup
  • Chopped almonds 1/2 cup
  • Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup
  • Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Ghee 3/4 cup

Method:

  1. Mix milk and semolina and keep it aside for 1 hour.
  2. Now melt ghee, put sugar, water and cardamom powder and cook on medium flame until sugar dissolves.
  3. Then close stove, add milk & semolina mixture, mix it and keep on stove.
  4. Also stir it, so that it does not get lumps and cook on medium flame until water dries and leave edges of pan.
  5. Now mix coconut, almonds and pistachios nicely.
  6. Serve hot or cold.

Makhandi Halwa is delicious sweet dish. It is prepared with semolina. It is served hot or cold.
