Ingredients:

  • Bread slices  16
  • Dry milk 3 tbsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Ghee 1 tbsp
  • Milk 3/4 cup

For Syrup:

  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Water 2-1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Kewra 2 tbsp
  • Oil for fry
  • Chopped almonds 10
  • Chopped pistachio 15

Method:

  1. For syrup: Put water, sugar, kewra and cardamom powder in pan and cook on low flame until sugar dissolves.
  2. Now cook it for 7-8 minutes on low flame and close stove.
  3. For gulab jamun: Put bread slices and milk in bowl and leave for 1 minute.
  4. Now mash bread nicely, add baking soda, dry milk and ghee and mix it nicely.
  5. Now cover it and leave for 5 minutes.
  6. Then grease hands and make small balls.
  7. Then heat oil, fry balls on medium flame until golden.
  8. Then take out fried gulab jamun on paper towel.
  9. Then put gulab jamun in hot syrup.
  10. Then garnish with almonds and pistachios and serve hot.

Bread Gulab Jamun is sweet dish. It is common dish in Pakistan. It is usually served in wedding parties and Eid-ul-Fitr.
