Ingredients:
- Sugar 2 cups
- Ghee 1 cup
- Eggs 6
- Flour 8 tbsp
- Malai 1 cup
- Semolina 2 cups
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
- Saffron 1/2 tsp
- Rose water 2 tbsp
- Almond & Pistachio (sliced) 2 tbsp each
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Baking powder 1 tbsp
Method:
- Beat sugar and ghee until light and fluffy.
- Now add malai and eggs and beat more.
- Then fold flour, semolina, baking powder, rose water, cardamom powder and saffron in this mixture.
- Now put this mixture in greased oven tray and bake on mark number 4 for 40-45 minutes.
Roat is traditional Afghan sweet bread. It is prepared with flour & semolina and baked in oven.
