Shalgam Palak Gosht by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Turnip 1/2 kg
  • Spinach 1 kg
  • Meat (Beef) 1/2 kg
  • Black peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes paste 250 gm
  • Onions paste 2
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilies powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies, Coriander leaves as required

Method:

  1. Boil spinach and turnip in pan.
  2. Now put meat, 4 glass hot water, coriander powder, onion paste, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, cumin and black peppercorns in pot and cook for 1 hour.
  3. When meat tender, put ghee, turnip and spinach and roast it nicely.
  4. Then add 1 glass water and cook on low flame.
  5. Then put sugar, garam masala powder, green chilies and coriander leaves and close stove.
