Chola Pulao by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Boiled chickpeas 1  cup
  • Boiled black chickpeas 1 cup
  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Onion slice 1
  • Whole mix spices 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sambal oleak 1 tbsp
  • Whipped yogurt 1/2 cup
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Yellow curry paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion until light golden.
  2. Now put whole mixed spices, sambal oleak, yellow curry paste, salt, chickpeas, black chickpeas and yogurt and fry it.
  3. Then add rice, green chilies and 2 cup water and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  4. Now simmer it on low flame and serve with raita.

Chola Pulao is amazing dish. It is prepared with white & black chickpeas. Shireen Anwer has made it with her own recipe. It is served with raita.
