Ingredients:

  • Rice soaked 1/2 kg
  • Khoya 1 cup
  • Kewra 1 tbsp
  • Almond, Pistachio 1/2 cup
  • Orange peel 2 tbsp
  • Red & green ashrafiyaan as required
  • Gulab jamun 125 gm
  • Cham cham 125 gm
  • Pineapple pieces 1/2 cup
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Crushed green cardamom 6

Method:

  1. Heat ghee, put cardamom, sugar and 1/2 cup water and cook until sugar dissolves.
  2. Now add orange peel and boiled rice and cook on high flame until water dries.
  3. Then simmer it on low flame.
  4. Then take out zarda on platter, put almond, pistachio, red & green ashrafiyaan, gulab jamun, cham cham and pineapple and serve.

Nauratan Zarda is amazing sweet rice dish. It is prepared with rice & topped with nuts, dry fruits and sweets. It is usually prepared in Eid-ul-Fitr & mehndi parties in Pakistan.
