Ingredients:
- Rice soaked 1/2 kg
- Khoya 1 cup
- Kewra 1 tbsp
- Almond, Pistachio 1/2 cup
- Orange peel 2 tbsp
- Red & green ashrafiyaan as required
- Gulab jamun 125 gm
- Cham cham 125 gm
- Pineapple pieces 1/2 cup
- Ghee 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Crushed green cardamom 6
Method:
- Heat ghee, put cardamom, sugar and 1/2 cup water and cook until sugar dissolves.
- Now add orange peel and boiled rice and cook on high flame until water dries.
- Then simmer it on low flame.
- Then take out zarda on platter, put almond, pistachio, red & green ashrafiyaan, gulab jamun, cham cham and pineapple and serve.
Nauratan Zarda is amazing sweet rice dish. It is prepared with rice & topped with nuts, dry fruits and sweets. It is usually prepared in Eid-ul-Fitr & mehndi parties in Pakistan.
