Ingredients:

  • Dalia 1/2 kg
  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Cream 1 packet
  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Onion 1 large
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Parsley as required
  • Green chilies (6-8) for garnish

For Bhagar:

  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Brown onion 2-3 tbsp
  • Ginger chopped 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion until light golden.
  2. Now put ginger garlic paste with chicken boneless and fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Then put dalia and 1/2 cup lukewarm water and leave on low flame for 2 hours till  it tender.
  4. Then blend mixture with salt, cinnamon powder, white pepper, all spice, parsley and cream.
  5. Then give bhagar of butter, brown onion and ginger chopped and garnish with green chilies.

Harissa is traditional Kashmiri spicy dish. It is prepared with meat & grains and garnished with green chilies & ginger.
