Ingredients:
- Mutton 500 gm
- Ghee or Oil 1/4 cup
- Onion 2
- Garlic 2 tsp
- Ginger 1 tbsp
- Tomato 2
- Yogurt 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon 1
- Whole black pepper 8-10
- Cloves 3
- Whole cumin 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Tara garam masala 1 tsp
- Saffron 1 tsp
- Ginger 2 tsp
- Green chilies 3-4
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
- Green cardamom 2-3
Method:
- Heat oil in pan, fry onion, black pepper and cumin until brown, add mutton, ginger, garlic and tomato and cook it.
- Then add yogurt, salt, red chili powder, turmeric and water, cover pan and tender meat.
- When oil separates from gravy, add tara garam masala and saffron and simmer it.
- Then garnish with green chilies, ginger and coriander leaves and serve.
Zafrani Shorba is amazing gravy dish. It is prepared with mutton & it has delicious flavor of saffron.
