Ingredients:

  • Maida 2 cups
  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Buttermilk 1/2 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Butter 8 oz
  • Water 1 cup
  • Coco powder 5 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp

For Icing:

  • Butter 100 gm
  • Milk 6 tbsp
  • Coco powder 5 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Icing sugar 2-1/2 to 3 cups
  • Chopped walnuts 1 cup

Method:

  1. Put baking soda, salt and sugar in flour and mix it.
  2. Now add buttermilk, vanilla essence and eggs and beat it nicely.
  3. Then put butter in saucepan and melt it.
  4. Now add coco powder and water and cook until all ingredients melts.
  5. Then put this mixture in dry ingredients bowl, mix it, put in lined 10x15 inch Swiss roll tray and bake on 180 degrees C for 20 minutes.
  6. Now take it out, cool it and spread frosting.
  7. For frosting: Put milk, coco powder, vanilla essence and icing sugar in saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Then add chopped walnuts, spread on cake, cool it and serve.

Walnut Sheet Cake is delightful dessert. You can make at home easily with your own method. Must try this recipe.
