Orange Buns

Ingredients:

  • Flour 4 cups
  • Caster sugar 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Butter 2 oz
  • Chopped glazed cherries 100 gm
  • Raisins 25 gm
  • Orange essence 1/4 tsp
  • Orange juice 3 tbsp
  • Orange jelly crystal 1 tbsp
  • Yeast 2-1/2 tbsp
  • Dry milk 3 tbsp
  • Lukewarm water 1-1/2 cup

For Filling:

  • Orange marmalade as required

For Glaze:

  • Orange marmalade as required
  • Orange juice as required

Method:

  1. Mix flour, caster sugar, salt, cinnamon, butter, cherries, raisins, orange essence, orange juice, orange jelly, yeast, dry milk and lukewarm water, knead soft dough and leave for 1 hour.
  2. Now roll dough and brush with melted butter.
  3. Then spread orange marmalade and roll like Swiss roll.
  4. Now cut into pieces, put on cup cake tray and bake on 180 degrees C for 20 minutes.

Orange Buns is sweet bun. The dough is prepared of cherries & orange juice and stuffed with orange marmalade.
