Ingredients:

  • Whole chicken 1 kg
  • Rice 2-1/2 cups
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Finely chopped onion 3
  • Lemon 4
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped green chilies 4
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Butter or Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Yellow color 1 pinch

Method:

  1. Wash chicken.
  2. Now wash rice and soak it.
  3. Then heat oil in pot, fry onion until golden brown and take it out.
  4. Now put yogurt, ginger, all spice powder, black pepper and green chilies and roast it slightly.
  5. Fry chicken in separate wok, add in masalay and simmer it on low flame.
  6. Now boil rice.
  7. Put salt, all spice and green chilies, boil it and drain it.
  8. Grease rice pot and make layer of half rice.
  9. Then keep chicken, put remaining rice and put masala on sides.
  10. Now mix yellow color in little milk, put in pot and simmer it.
  11. When it simmer, put ghee or butter and serve hot.

Afghani Pulao is delicious rice. It is prepared with whole chicken. Dry this different rice recipe.
