Lauki Ka Halwa

Ingredients:

  • Long bottle gourd (1) 1-1/2 kg
  • Khoya 250 gm
  • Desiccated coconut 1 packet
  • Small cardamom 8
  • Pistachio 10
  • Almonds 10
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 cup

Method:

  1. Peel bottle gourd, grate it and dry its water.
  2. Then grind cardamom with 1 tsp sugar.
  3. Now heat oil in wok and put cardamom.
  4. Then roast it little, put steamed bottle gourd, roast it slightly and take it out.
  5. Then add sugar and some water.
  6. When it becomes syrup, put bottle gourd.
  7. Take it out after 5 minutes and spread on dish.
  8. Then put khoya, coconut, pistachio and almonds and serve it.

Lauki Ka Halwa is delicious sweet dish. It is common sweet dish in Pakistan. It is usually prepared in winter and served in many parties.
